Everything a Grove parent needs to know

How to enrol, what to bring, how lunch works and how to reach us. If you cannot find an answer here, call the office or send a message on Facebook and we will get back to you.

Enrolling your child

Grove accepts children into the infant department (early childhood) and into Grades 1 to 6. We have space in every grade and welcome transfers during the year as well as new September intakes.

To enrol, visit the school office with your child's birth certificate, immunisation record, the most recent school report if transferring, and a parent or guardian's identification and proof of address.

Families on the PATH programme should let the office know at registration so that benefits are applied from the first day.

Lunch and the feeding programme

Every child at Grove receives lunch at school, whether or not the family is on PATH. Please tell the office about any food allergies or dietary needs when you enrol.

Visiting the school

The best way to know if Grove is right for your child is to see it. Call ahead so the principal can walk you through the classrooms during a normal school day. The school is on the hillside above the Hope River in the Grove District, off the Gordon Town road.

School day and term dates

Term dates follow the Ministry of Education calendar.

Parent Teacher Association

Every Grove parent is a member of the PTA. Meetings are the place to hear what is happening at school and to have your say.
